Data Shredder’s ‘drive shredder’ keeps getting stuck when wiping whole drives connected via usb regardless how they’re connected. This has happened using a USB 3.0 sata drive dock 3 pass shredding a 2tb and 3tb hdd, a 250gb ssd and a 16gb 3.1 USB stick. I can also confirm that this is happening to hdd connected via sata to the mobo.
ccleaners drive wiper worked for the above devices so its software related.
This is on a new build. win10 pro, everything updated.
Where does it get stuck - in the beginning, in the middle, at the end? I mean, do you see the progress show some percentage?
So you selected “Driver Shredder” (and not File Shredder or Deleted Files Shredder), right? Did you change any settings of the shredder component?
I’m not sure if it can make any difference, but I assume all the drives were formatted as NTFS, correct?
