What made your team choose to use smf based forums as oppose to the others like phpbb or vbulliten or ipb?

SMF is nice, phpBB is ugly, vBulletin as well ;D

Just joking - we were using older versions of phpBB before and we certainly didn’t like it, on the other hand YabbSE was much better and it evolved to SMF later.

I’m using all of the three mentioned on various sites and I still think the SMF is best of the three.

Since I think this may be an religious issue, I’d like to ask all the people not to flame about this, because I think this is mostly based on opinions and personal preferences.

I think this forum is working fine with SMF. No issues with this engine, at least I don’t see anything.

I didn’t see anything wrong with it. I was just curious.
