Defs repository keeps growing

Hello
I realised 2 weeks ago that my Defs repository (C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs) for Avast Free antivirus weighed around… 15 Go !!!
No way to empty it so i reinstalled Avast.
But this defs repository is growing again. around 250 Mo in few days, and impossible to suppress the files in it.
I disabled the autodefense option in Avast since somebody said it was the root cause, but nothing changes.
Nb : I work on Windows 8.1 if it matters somehow

Help welcome on this subject !

200-200MB is a regular size of one virus definition… so it’s normal (it’s also normal that there are at least two of them there, simultaneously, for some time).
(15 GB is not, of course.)

Indeed, I checked again today : Defs remains at around 250 Mo, with a repository just for the last ~5 days
My problem seems to be solved :slight_smile:
