Despite Having Paid & Renewed, Keep Getting Spammy Avast Promo Renewal Offer

Hi guys,

I’m a Premium paying user for Security, Secureline, and Password.

Despite having renewed last month, I keep getting spammy Avast popups upon PC startup to renew early, etc. >:(

I thought it would eventually disappear but seems like it’s been going on for around a month.

How to get rid of this without blocking legit popup warnings about attacks?

(Even if I were a free user for which I’m not, it’s so spammy by the way) ::slight_smile:

You can disable the ads in the paid versions: Avast GUI → Settings → Personal Privacy

Did you buy from Avast directly or from a reseller…?

  1. Download Avast Premium Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_premium_security_setup_offline.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.
