Device appears twice in Avast account

My new device, a Nexus 5x, appears twice with the same device name in my Avast account.

Once with subtitle “Avast Free Mobile Security”, under info IMEI is listed as N/A. Removing this listing and adding again did not help.

Second listing with subtitle “Avast Antitheft”, under info IMEI is displayed correctly.

My other two Android devices only appear once.

Any idea what is wrong?

P.S. Android SDK Level is 23, Android 6.0.1, Patch-Level 1/3/2016

It has already been explained.

It has to do with the fact that Android 6 is using different api’s compared to previous versions.
avast is already working on a solution for the website.

A few months passed. Where is that so-called solution?

please just wait for the new version of Anti-Theft app. It should be rolling out in two weeks.

I’m still waiting on this issue to be fixed, I’ll be back in a week to see if its really updated or not.

Hi, the new version of Avast Anti-Theft (4.0) has been rolled out to 1% of users by now (we use stage rollouts for our apps - update reaches only a percentage of our users and increases over time).

If you do not want to wait (the order of users getting updates from staged rollouts is random), the 4.0 version is also available in Beta (https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.avast.android.at_play).

Click the “BECOME A BETA TESTER” button. Anti-Theft will automatically update itself (if not, please wait an hour or so).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since new version is NOT compatible (for many reasons) with previous version, all your settings will be lost! Please consider this before you upgrade.

Will it be possible to log in using your Google Account login in the new Anti-Theft app?
This is not possible in the old app even if you have already created your Avast account using your Google Account login in the Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus app. So there’s currently no way can connect your Anti-Theft app to my.avast.com within the Anti-Teft app.

How long will it take before the rollout reaches 100 %?

Hi, login to Avast Anti-Theft is possible through Facebook, Google+ and e-mail.
If there is no complication, we should get to 100% in the second week of June.
