Dialupass.exe infected by Win32:Trojan-gen?

Hi.

I downloaded a software called Dialupass developed by Nir Sofer (http://nirsoft.cjb.net) from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/dialuppass.html. Dialupass is supposed to be a utility that helps user to recover Windows RAS dialup connection passwords.

On extracting the ZIP file and trying to run the program, Avast complains that it is infected by Win32:Trojan-gen. {UPX!}.

I hope to seek confirmation of whether this is a real or false alarm since the filename of the software (dialupass.exe) could have resembles a Trojan by the same name and could have utilized the UPX EXE packer/compression utility as well, leading to a false alarm.

Thanks for any information on this issue.

Hi,
KAV-Scanner says: RiskWare.PSWTool.Dialupass.a
F-Prot says: dialupass2.zip->dialupass.exe is a security risk or a “backdoor”

so you’d better believe avast & delete it…
