Hi,
If I disable all my shields for 10 minutes (on Avast Free 2015 latest build) then at the end of the time the mail and file shields both re-activate but the web shield does not. If I try to manually re-enable it it does nothing.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Avast with the removal tool and with the standard add/remove but this does not help.
Anyone else with this problem? I’m running Windows 8 x64 and also running Mbam Pro.

Nope - had it for years. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it on hundreds of machines over the years as I run a repair company.
Not sure if its a bug in 2015 or if there is something odd with my W8 x64 though. I think others may have had the same problems in the past and the advice seems to be to uninstall / reinstall or reboot once you are down with disabling the shields. The reboot option may work but I don’t really want to reboot every time I want to simply disable the shields for 10 minutes.

Yes it’s a problem which i have adressed in few topics. You’re a third person (incl. me) now who i see has mentioned about this problem here. It’s time to Avast address this, dunno if they already had though.

When I logged a problem for an issue of Avast messing up windows updates on w8 they acknowledged the issue and said they were not going to address it as not enough people had complained. I therefore don’t hold out too much hope. I feel Avast development are slipping down the slippery slope at an ever increasing rate sadly…
I think this would be a pretty simple fix to do. And if they are not going to do anything about it, then it’s time to think some alternative AV.
