Running Avast Premium Security ver 20.1.2397 (build 20.1.5069.562).
I need to disable Wi-Fi Inspector while working in a city building (IT guy says it keeps pinging his network, and he’s not OK with that).
How can I temporarily disable this feature?

I thought that Wi-Fi Inspector worked only on demand. Am I wrong?
As far as I’m aware it is on-demand (if installed) but it is in the Smart Scan if you run that.
However, I’m not so sure that this is the WiFi scan, possibly it is the Firewall, it may be the firewall is on Public Mode. If this connection is Private (only his company network) then this check might not be done. I can’t say this with any degree of certainty as I don’t have the Avast Premium Security and its Firewall feature.
