Has there been any changes to the displays in the Task Bar? I have the yellow splodge icon there and usually when I put the cursor on it a large green box shows the message “You are protected”. Today only a small white box reading “Avast Antivirus: Your system is secured” is displayed.
I also have been able to click on the icon to get to the main Avast antivirus screen and this does not seem to be working either. any reasons for this.
Do Repair Avast:
- Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
- Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
