Do I have to use bing with avast?

After my avast was activated I can’t get rid of bing. Do I have to bear bing to use Avast?

Which Avast product?

If Avast Secure Browser, then you should be able to choose your preferred search engine via Settings and save that as the default search engine. You should not be locked in to bing.
