Does Avast have an email address to write to for support?

Is there a direct email address to write to avast, to get support for an activation problem? I don’t see any way on the website to do so. every time I click on the contact us page, I either get a blank page, or the FAQ page. I just go round and round in circles. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
You don’t say what Avast product you are using - or exactly where you looked ?
Is this for a new subscription or renewal of subscription - I believe both of these you should have received and email with your registration key.

I’m not sure if the contact us gives a direct email address.

Hi David, thank you for the reply. I posted my problem in the Avast premium security section, so you can read about it there, in more detail, but basically I have a problem with activating my premium security program, which is auto renewal, but the activation code is not working. I have gone to the website I have tried every way to find a way to email support about this problem, but I cannot find a way to contact them directly, by email. Even on the contact us option, I just get sent back to the FAQ menus. I can’t even find the page where you can submit your problem. so that is why I am asking if they have a direct email address that I can write to? I do have an email address from my past communications with Avast, which is customer support at avast.com, and I have emailed that address, but have yet to hear back from them.

I use Avast Free so I’m not familiar with the renewal process.

When you auto renew do you get sent an email with a new registration code, if so where are you trying to enter this ?

Well, I found out that Avast no longer does email support, they only do phone support and chat support.

the renewal is not working, i had 5 software from avast and all were set up as “auto renewal”, but after the periode i got mailings to buy again, and all was blocked, i was only able to get virus scan from avast, all others not, its sad they offerd last year IDEAL payment and now no more, only creditcards.. and many do not get these cards from there bank

it seems to me that this is the only payment method other than credit card that avast offers (I don’t remember seeing any other ideal payment method through the avast store).

You should still be able to use paypal. ideal?
Where did you buy your product and with which “ideal”?
If you made your payment to avast with paypal and you’re having problems, it may be that your payment method with paypal isn’t active (expired card for example) or that you’ve deactivated automatic payment for avast with paypal.

The last time I contacted email support with customer.support at avast dot com was in January and it worked. Only issue is they take their time in replying (they took a week to reply to me!!). May be you need to wait for them to get back to you.

@Hannon, when mine was auto renewed I did not have to do anything, all the activation key etc was updated by itself. Possible there was some problem with your payment? Kindly check with your bank also if the payment has been debited from your account, at times this could be an issue too with the bank not allowing the auto pay. If it is not debited, then you may need to make the payment manually and renew your account, if it is debited then, I would suggest you wait for a response to your mail to customer dot support at avast dot come.

No, it wasn’t a payment issue, my payment went through fine. In fact, they charge a month in advance for the service, to make sure they get their payments on time. I was told that they have discontinued their email support completely, and only do chat support from now on.
