Does Avast! have Firewall Protection?

Hi,

I recently downloaded Avast! 4 Home Edition on my PC. Does Avast! 4 Home/Pro Edition have firewall protection? What about protection from hackers? My bank called me two days ago to tell me that they shut down my online banking. They found out that someone from overseas was trying to fish into my bank account. I also found out that the e-mails I’ve been receiving from my bank was not from my bank at all.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

No, avast doesn’t have a firewall. A search of this forum will return hits with links to several good free firewall. Comodo,kierio just to name a couple. Just search for " free firewall" without the quotes.

Check these results of leak tests that link is also by Matousec but is shows many more firewalls (including PC Tools, which doesn’t do to well) than the limited results in the Link posted by Tech.
