I received warnings from work that a Zero Day Exploit threat called the Troj/DwnLdr-KOS virus had been detected and had been delt with. I was cautioned to make sure my antivirus was detecting, blocking, and removing this threat on my personal computer. I cannot find a list of viruses that Avast protects for. Is there a location where I can search a current protection list when these specific warnings are issued?
Thanks for any information…
Update of definitions here http://www.avast.com/virus-update-history
I appreciate the link but I have already been there and it is not searchable nor does it list all threats, only the updates and only back a short time. After doing a cut and paste into a text editor and searching for Troj/DwnLdr-KOS in the body it does not show up. Does that mean that I am not protected or the list does not go back far enough to show the data.

Thanks for the links but they direct me to exterior sites that may be helpful if I have already been infected, or if I am interested in another defensive product.
I am looking for a list of current threats that Avast IS7 Pro protects me from. I know that the list has grown insanely large since my first anti-virus that protected me from the 700 known viruses at that time. I just want to know if there is a list, and if this current threat from work (Troj/DwnLdr-KOS) is on it.
Thank you to anyone that can help…
Unfortunately all AV companies use their own classification so it is hard to run a comparison
essexboy, Pondus,
Thank you both for your replies, they pointed me in the right direction. Avast has always been a dependable product. Like everything else you need to approach problems from multiple vectors to be satisfied.
