“C:\Program files\AVAST Software”
Does it scan that directory? I’m just curious.
(I don’t expect an answer right now, there are other more serious questions out there.)

Yes, avast File Shield monitors all the files in the computer accordingly.
It does, depending on what scan and settings you choose to do.
Okay, thats good.
I mean, imagine if it didn’t.
It has various checks…i.e. the self protection module…
You get an indication that it does scan it’s own files when you get errors somtimes after avast cleans up the previous days definitions. The scan results in a error as the files disappear before avast can scan them ;D
If it had no checks, then it would be more of a target for malware…I am guessing here, but I would say that AVs would generally check their files as well…
Then you step into the paradoxical situation…just to mess with your head ;D
If the avast scans all files as they are executed, how is the scanner executable scanned, since it is not started yet? ;D ;D
