Some question about VRDB, I think I haven’t seen such a features like this in other AVs. Does avast! VRDB cover MS Office documents placed in different drive if they infected by macro virus?
Typically, My Documents folder is in root directory (e.g. C:) but mine is in other drive so does avast! VRDB cover this?
No, it only covers certain exe, dll, system files, etc. not data files. you have to have a backup strategy. VRDB is there to help repair infected files and these are usually exe, dll, files, etc.
