Does Microsoft IE7 website have a virus?

Microsoft released Internet Explorer 7 today and I get a virus warning from avast! when I click on their website link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

I too got the same virus alert. The workaround was instead of clicking on their homepage “ad” (which is hosted by atdmt - why???), click on the downloads button (left nav bar), and follow the links to IE7.

Looks like a false positive on a JavaScript on another page linked to by an ad on the main page.

You might not be able to detect it everytime since it happens every now and then … Try visiting it through Microsoft’s homepage (click on the big IE7 ad link) and that’s how I mostly get the alerts.
