Doubt on Context Menu

Hi,

What files will be scanned when we use the avast! scan by the context menu?

Will be the settings that we have on “avast! Simple User Interface > Type of scan”?

Thanks

I could be wrong, and Igor will correct me, but I think the archive file scanning (thorough) is always ‘on’ for the ashQuick scanning.
At least, this is the behavior of the download manager: all packers (with support) are scanned.

Thanks Technical

Can this could be configurable in the future?

Context scanning uses maximal possible scanning strenght including support for all archives.
It can be only configured in Professional Edition in Enhanced interface.

You don’t have to change those settings anyway since Context scanning is intended only for things that were already passed through Standard Shield and require more thorough check.

Well see RejZoR

Until today, I thought the archives are not enabled for ashQuick by default - by I found out I was wrong
So, you are right - all archives are scanned.

In the Enhanced User Interface, you can edit the corresponding task (Explorer Extension) - so you can specify whatever sensitivity / archives you want.

Hehe… maybe the user practical experience worth more than the theorical knowleage ;D
Anyway, thanks Igor. Enjoy your own product, the best one 8)

I use the Home Edition

Thanks
