Hi, I’m just wondering does Avast! detects this trojan? I looked in the virus reference and couldn’t find it. My cousin downloaded AVG Free for me and it said I had 2 viruses of Downloader.Agent.XS. I want to go back to avast! but I’m not sure if it detects this. Thanks ![]()
Nope. From my point of view AVG generates false positive with this signature.
See my eXcessive Software webpage >:(
Wow, really? Thank you for the notice
This is the first time I ever had a virus and I thought I was just safe with avast! until my cousin came over and downloaded it. >:( I’ll redownload avast! again ;D
Oh and I’m just wondering, which file did AVG say your file was infected?
All on that page except AdBlock filterlist. I submitted false positive report to GriSoft today at around 7 AM CET and i hope they’ll fix this soon.
Hopes it’ll get fix too. Although I already downloaded Avast! ;D
But avast! is able to detect this trojan horse right? :![]()
I can’t really say judging only on false positive. VGrep doesn’t have this entry yet since it was added yesterday and i don’t have any real Downloader.Agent.XS sample to verify this.
