Drivers for...

Hi everyone
I formated my laptop and now I’ve got 30 days trial and that my stupid licence key not working anymore,my laptop don’t have the sound driver and the LAN driver installed by itself can someone help me to get that?
My laptop is Samsung and using the operating system Xp Pro.

Any suggestions is welcomed ;D

Hi Shiw…

Did you restore using the same copy of Windows XP Professional that was included in your restore partition or CD? If yes, what is the model name and number of your Samsung. The laptop’s serial number might help as well.

God bless

I used a cd to format it hehe the truth is that I’ve broken it with a registry cleaner again in advance users mode.

wait I gonna take some photos ;D

Hi Shiw…

Ok, but are you using the copy of XP that came with the system? I don’t mean to be intrusive or rude in an way, but I don’t offer support for illegal installs of Windows.

If you are, what is the model name and number of your Samsung?

God bless

If you want to know ardvark I have a laptop with its licence key but not with it cd and I didn’t got it cd :-
That’s the problem :frowning:

After the download torrents install didn’t work,I’ve tried to borrow my neighbour’s cd :-[

Hi Shiw…

I see. The first thing that we need to determine is if you have a restore partition on your hard drive. If you double click on “My computer,” do you see two different drive letters (on the hard drive,) C and D?

If “C” is the only one listed (with D as your CD-ROM,) then you will need to contact Microsoft at (800) 936-5700 to discuss the situation with them. You will probably need to dial additional numbers from Mauritius where you live.

God bless

The number in Mauritius do not work I’ve called them more than 2 times no reply do you know why is that no working :-\

By the way I think I formatted the hard disks during the xp installation and make it become only one :frowning:

Is it obligatory for a laptop?

Are you getting an answering machine?

Yes it says sorry your call cannot be reach at this time please try later.

Hey,

Why don’t u use speccy?

http://www.piriform.com/speccy

It can help you see what is inside your PC and you can do a Google search for the drivers

But I am not that sure what driver is the real one :frowning:

Ohhhh, dear :frowning:

So it’s possible you’ve lost your restore partition. :frowning:

Why don’t you give Samsung a call (or an e-mail) first to see if they can issue you a restore CD for your laptop. If they can’t help, then I would call Microsoft. You definately should take care of the licensing aspect of this first.

God bless

Yay thank you ardvark!

You’re welcome, Shiw.

Let us know how it goes.

God bless

I’ve send an email to samsung!
Let’s wait to see what will happen.

Hi Shiw…

Cool, did you give them the same serial number you gave us? They will probably respond with a question like my mine (in my initial post about the model name and number) if you just told them you have a Samsung with Windows XP Professional. ;D

God bless

Oops I think I didn’t but I gave them only a photo of my licence key sticked :frowning:

Hi Shiw…

I would write back to Samsung and give them your laptop’s model name and number and serial number and ask them again for a restore CD for it.

God bless

Thank you a lot ardvark but how to get that cd ???
