Dropbox Sync on PC returns "Suspicious File Blocked" Win32:WrongInf-D Repeatedly

My trusty old Thinkpad finally died so I had to move to a spare old Toshiba notebook.

I have a lot of data we collaborate and share on Dropbox. On sync on the new machine I get repeated “Suspicious File Blocked” pop-ups so much so that I can’t work. The infection is Win32:WrongInf-D [Susp], the object is a .tmp file with a bunch of numbers and letters in the name (generally 4c9e31bc.tmp or 766892f8.tmp). The process is Dropbox.exe. Is this an actual virus or a dropbox issue?

If I turn off Sync on Dropbox it goes away. I scan my Dropbox folder on the PC and every time find an (1) infected file which I then delete (Win32:Buzuz-ALD [Trj]). On resumption of sync it reappears.

System is running Windows XP service pack 3.

Any help appreciated.
