During a scan, how can I see which file/folder is being scanned?

Instead of just seeing, say, “8 %”, how can I see which file/folder is being scanned?

If you wish to see the latter, you should ask for that feature to be put in.

As currently designed, what you want is not in the user interface.

There used to be a stats feature where you could see the last five scanned files, but that was more on the real time scans (for all shields combined) this wasn’t particularly good and was withdrawn some time ago for modification and hasn’t made a return.

Again some time ago you could see a rolling single entry in the on-demand scan screen. Personally I felt this pretty useless as the speed of the scan made the data displayed out of date. Printing the data to the screen took way longer than the time to scan, so it was always behind the scan.

Even if only the folder was displayed, this too could be historic information given the settings to optimise the scan speed, ‘scan files in the order on the disk.’ This means it doesn’t scan all files in a folder as they could be all over the hard disk, so your hard disk would also be getting a thrashing and could slow the scan.

I rarely do on-demand scans, outside of beta testing and in response some topic posts and when doing them I wouldn’t be sitting watching them, but get on with other things.
