Does anyone else use or tired Easeus ToDo backup? I used it to do a full system backup with image and worked fine Great!
Comes to the point where i have to restore the system from backup and once it gets to the end states that the restore has failed. Wow great piece of software!
It seems to do well on the backups but when you need to roll back to them no joy. The thing is all the reviews i have read say its very good. :s
I too use this but i find after a few back ups the drive starts to become full. I am backing up to a 1TB external hard drive!!! I have tweaked the seetings to only keep the latest system image to save space but it still happens? The fact that 160GB is enough for you leaves me baffled :s Any ideas??
I also use the Win 7 backup feature.
I external 1 tb backup drive which handles the 5 computers that require Image backups.
I keep 2 backups of each computer just because I want the extra protection and have the space.
I do not use an external hard drive as I found it un-reliable as I had to remember to have it connected for the backup to occur.
One of the reasons for making these backups is to insure a way to recover from hard drive failure.
We all know it will eventually happen. We just don't know when.
Not creating your image on an external media of some type, means you have no recovery when your hard drive crashes.
Using your current hard drive for the backup leaves you with no viable way to recover and, only leaves
you with the option to re-install. Effectively causing you to loose all you data etc.
I am not using the current hard drive but a separate internal hard drive and I have made a bootable DVD system repair CD that works as I have tested it.
I have now gone back to Windows 7 backup. Something to note, i was having problems with Windows 7 backup failing when trying to create a system image. I have since found that AV software can suddenly make this problem occur. If you find this is happening disable your AV/security software re-run backup and it shoould now work. Just remember to turn your AV back on after
+1 That what I do at least you’re not running any software in the background or boot into the OS, it a lot better and safer to run you’re complete backup using Acronis True Image Rescue/Bootable CD instead of running the Acronis True Image from the OS because it does give you a complete clean and safer to backup and restore just in case something might happen.
