Easiest way to recover ADMN console password

What is the easiest way to recover a lost password for ADMN? I am using Microsoft SQL 2000. I know what the password is, but it will not take. It will not let me login with my own user information.

Hi

Well you can not recover the password for security reasons. What is the exact problem you are experiencing, is it that you can not connect to the database error?

Are you using a licensed version or an evaluation?

I am having the same problem. I know my password but ADNM will not accept it. I was using a demo version which expired. I know have a license file but I can’t insert it. What can I do?

Should I uninstall the console and reinstall it with the license file?

Hi, you can install the license file using the AMS Maintenance Tool (another item in the ADNM Start menu group).
It is quite likely that the AMS service didn’t start because the license has expired, and that’s why you can’t log on to the console.

I used the maintenance utility and was able to load the license file. I figures that it was not working because the license was expired. I am now running Avast for the next 3 years.
