How can I edit my URL blacklist in Avast?
The short answer is you can’t these are contained with the virus definitions database and also possibly a live check.
Since you don’t give any details on why you are getting this (the Avast Alert window with Details option selected) and why you would wish to do this it is hard to assist.
Of course you can elect to Allow this by setting an exclusion, but that is at your own risk.
I have a website I created a couple of months ago, and edit every few days. I made some updates today, and when I went to try and visit the site in my browser, I couldn’t get access. I finally worked out Avast had suddenly decided that url is on its black list! It is a site made in Wix, and today I added a blog, and it seems Avast has seen that edit as a problem for some reason?
Again without details as suggested (the Avast Alert window with Details option selected) it isn’t possible to investigate.
Attaching Images to your post - When you Click the Reply button it opens a text window for you to post your comment (reply or post).
Click the Preview button, that shows what you have input and expands it to include ‘Attachments and other options’. Click that it further expands, here you can attach images, etc. at the bottom of your post.
See my attached image, click to expand.
You can report it - New location to report both a False Positive and or a False Negative (for File or URL) - https://www.avast.com/submit-a-sample#pc
Thanks, I reported a false positive. It doesn’t show as an alert, the website just doesn’t load, then I checked Avast and in notifications it showed, the site was blocked as it was in infected with URL:Blacklist
Do you happen to have Avast on Silent mode ?
As these Notifications that you have posted in the image should have triggered an Avast Alert window.
No, not in silent mode
Those alerts ‘should’ have been displayed.
That said I have just visited the bladesarena.com and no alert, see attached screenshot.
Are you still getting these Alert Notifications Area ?
No, it seem to be working fine now! Thanks
You’re welcome.
