I have recently moved from XP 64bit to Win 7 64bit and Office 2010 (via Office 365) after fitting a new main drive. The problem below has only occurred since then.
When I receive an email which Avast marks the subject line as Spam or Phishing, if I click either ‘Whitelist’ or ‘Not Spam’, the email then disappears. Where does it go ?? I want to read the email and maybe archive it.
Even if I search All Folders, it can not be found. I have just done one exactly at 15.30, and I can not find any item in deleted or spam or Junkmail folder that occurred at 15.30, nor in temp files in Windows or elsewhere, nor Wastebasket (which is set to clear only on shut down). Nor can I find any item that changed size or was added or deleted or modified in the Avast program folders at 15.30.
Each time it totally disappears without any trace that I can find. These spam marked emails are still in their receiving inbox.
The next time I receive an email from one I marked Not Spam / Whitelist, the subject line is not marked Spam or Phishing, so, that parts works fine. However, I do urgently need some of the ones that have gone.
In Win XP 64bit Outlook 2003, if I clicked the Avast toolbar Not Spam or Whitelist, I would see the Spam marked email return to its incoming folder and remain there.
Please can someone help. Jonathan
