When I try to add my gmail account to avast it says that it can’t connect to that account, would appreciate assistance. tnx

I have the exact same problem. EXCEPT that rather than giving me a notification - the entire APP crashes and shuts down every single time I try to add a Gmail account for protection as described above. It has happened many many times and I am not past it.
