I installed Avast about a week ago and had no problems with it until today. Now when I open some emails (not all) I am getting an “Internet Explorer Script Error”, showing the following - line, char, code, url. Do you want to continue running script on this page YES/NO.
The script error doesnt occur with every email i open and it doesnt seem to matter whether the email has an attachment or not.
I am running Windows ME, Advast 4.8, Outlook express 6,
My computer is AMD Athlon XP2200+, 512 ram

If you read HTML email and the page has a script error then that will appear all the time.
I just Continue.
I get this all the time with Calvin and Hobbes comics that I receive every morning.
I don’t have a problem with that email using MS Outlook in Vista.
Jan, which antivirus did you use before avast? AVG?
