email shield note into clean message in HTLM format

Hi

can i setup avast to add Insert note into clean message (outgoing) in htlm format and not in txt format?

i use thunderbird 3.1.9
and the last version of avast6

thanks
cheers

i remember it was possible in avast v3 , i guess even in avast 2(yes)

As far as I’m aware this was never the case as in only setting it to insert a note in HTML and not Text emails or vice versa. Avast 4.8 was the last version that differentiated in the in the clean notes (e.g. you could edit the content of it, using the Format of the notes) for HTML or Text emails.

It was either insert the clean note or not (see image from 4.8 ), not which to insert as that depended on the email you were sending. If this was only text based email it would be a text message, if an html only email then it would be the html message. If it were a multi-part email, e.g. it had two parts html and text, then notes for each would be inserted.

thanks a lot
so there is not possibility to edit it in avast 6 ,isn’t it?
for example editing the mail ini file

There hasn’t been since avast 4.8, the avast5 Mail Shield interface is essentially the same as avast6.

If you only want to edit the content of the notes, I believe it’s possible, you only have to find the corresponding file manually (they are in \XXXX subfolder - where XXXX is the code of the particular language version, e.g. 1033 being English - the files aswClnTg.htm/.txt for clean messages, and aswInfTg.htm/.txt for infected messages.

However, as David said said, the differentiation whether the .html or .txt format is used - is done automatically, you cannot change that.

thanks Igor!

is done automatically, you cannot change that.

i write my email and i send always in html mode ,but avast adds always a txt format …
