Emailing log files

Is there a way to get the program (Internet Security 2015) to automatically email the results of a specific virus scan?

I didn’t think there was after looking, but I thought I’d ask in case someone else knows something I didn’t.

Tkx.

Not to my knowledge. Do you have a malware problem?

No, I don’t. But, I have to send logs of my virus scans to an employer. It’d be nice if I didn’t have to do it manually.

Why do you have/want to do that ?

I work from home, and there’s some policies that require proof that the system you work on is clean.

There is no tool in the world that can detect/remove all malware.
Although avast is really good, if it doesn’t detect anything harmful it doesn’t mean your system is clean.

If you work from home it basically doesn’t matter if your system is clean or not.
What matters is that the company should check all data that is send to them for malware.
And that is something for them to take care of.

My suggestion is this:

  • use avast for real-time protection
  • use mbam (Malwarebytes) for a periodic scan. e.g once a week
  • Use McShield for protection against things comming from e.g usb devices you attach to your system.

Ofcourse keep them all up-to-date.
Tell that person you are using those tools.
If that isn’t enough “prove” for him… He should get another job ;D

“get another job”. Yeah, that’s a realistic option.

All I wanted to know is if Avast could email report files.

Now that I think of it…
What is the company using as av ?
All(most?) all business version have the option to notify the IT department through email.
