Emergency Update - 11/23/13

The app WinPatrol notified me a few minutes ago that a new Startup program was trying to install on my Windows Vista system
The specs are as follows:

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\setup\emupdate\b058c8e6-5579-4914-95ab-de27b625b3ac.exe /check

Is this a genuine Avast release, or a virus/malware trying to install itself? If a valid release, what is the emergency being addressed?

If you actually check the files properties in the location given you should find it is digitally signed by avast.
