EMET anyone?

Does anyone have any thoughts (or experience) with using EMET (Microsoft’s Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit)?

I’ve seen almost no reviews/benchmarks of EMET, in terms of its effectiveness, safety, and impact on one’s system.

PrevxHelp (via a thread @ Wilder’s Security Forum wrote: “Regarding EMET: it performs some hooking/unhooking within the OS and will generally cause other security programs to function differently”… which raises the first question:
Does EMET interfere/impede with Avast in any way?

If fully compatible with Avast, does EMET really offer significant protection/enhancements as it seems to claim? In your reply, please distinguish between its effectiveness/impact on XP systems as distinct from Win7/Vista systems.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Been using it for a few months now(Win 7 x64), also have avast! executables “Emeted” and so far no problems. Yeah it really does work.
