I tried to install avast on my w2000 pc.
i got a error . its included in the file. seems he hav a problem with the lang.dll
i dont have installed any other virus program. i dont have installed norton.
i removed and tried it 3 times.
any help available ?

Which is your operational system language?
Which avast language you have downloaded?
Can you donwload the file again and test?
my system language is german
i downloaded the german version
i downloaded a second time and installed new, same problem as before.

What is the exact size of the installation package?
For German Home version, it should be 10076696 bytes, for the Professional version 10314160 bytes.
I ues the german home version and the size of the installation file is 10076696 bytes.

And it still gives you the mentioned error? Would you be able to compute some kind of a checksum (CRC32, MD5, SHA… whatever) of the installation package, using some tool?
Btw, do you have enough space on the target drive?
