Error after installing BP Administration Console

I was running 4.8 and decided to upgrade to 6 BP. I ran the installer and it completed without any errors, but when I go to launch the Administration Console, I get a message stating “Cannot display the webpage” Seems like a weird error. Is there a step that I’m missing?

A lot of question…
Have you reboot you system?
You must be sure, that all the services (Avast net, IIS, SQL…) on the server is running properly…
Have you added the exclusion for a certificate warning on your browser? Or have you tried with another browser?

I have rebooted the system. I only have IE8 installed on the server. Don’t think it matters but the old 4.8 is installed on this server as well.
