Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

How were you trying to open it, from the right click menu or directly from ashChest.exe ?

Start avast! Antivirus (avast! Sipmle UI) > Tools > Virus Chest

oh, i open virus chest nowww!

but, added unknown items in system files list! this is normal!?

kernel32.exe c:\windows\system32
kernel32.exe c:\windows\system32
winsock.dll c:\windows\system32
wsock32.dl c:\windows\system32
wsock32.dl c:\windows\system32

Yes. They’re there for backup purposes.
Anyway, this behavior will disappear on avast 5 as it is obsolete, believe me.

Special thanks to DavidR and Tech

You’re always welcome.

You’re welcome, glad that all is in order again.
