AAVM-scanning error:x_AavmCheckBootDirectEx:avScanReal of BOOTA failed,00000005

Is this bad? Should i do something or it’s nothing i should worry about?
Help!!!

Neron,

What do you have your scanner sensitivity set too?

This error could be a problem, but it is hard to tell at this point.

Run a full virus scan including archives and let me know what shows up in the scan report if anything.

Do a scan of the forums for BOOTA with user Technical, this has been covered very recently and relates to a check of the A drive and no disk in the drive.

Naah, it’s not anything like this, please refer to this (ancient!) thread for details: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=2137;start=msg14820#msg14820

Well my friend maked a backup copy for me with the program Norton ghost 2003 but windows didn’t wanted to start. Some of the files were changed i think. There was only a message boot fail failure or something like this.We have 2 diskets but the 1 was corrupted i think.anyway he maked the compuer to run but very hard.I’m n ot sure if this is the reason becouse the report is for 8 and 9/12-2004.But i do think that this is nothing i should worry about. The eicar test is detected from avast and i’m sure everything is just fine
Thanks!
