Error message while updating

As I cannot find an email adres to Alwil for tech. support I post it here !!

In testing a new battery (cmos backup) in my computer I got a BIOS reset to default values. Date en time were wrong now.
Avast gives now when I want to update: The license code is temporarily blocked, fixe date en time en set code again.
I did so and waited several days but still the error in updating.

I have, among others, the questions:
What is “temporarily” and who will solve the problem ?
Why is there no email contact (like other sw-firms have) possible for tech. support ?

I suggest an installation from the scratch:

  1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
  2. Boot.
  3. Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall and use it for complete uninstallation.
  4. Boot.
  5. Install again the latest avast! version.
  6. Boot.
  7. Check and post the results.
