??? I have been messing around trying to figure out what the problem is but everytime i go to right click on my computer then manage and hit on Avast! antivirus to check status it is listed as automatic start but current status is set to stopped and will not start!! it says error 1057 the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion. And i tried going into control panel and then add remove programs and reinstalling it but nothing changed …please help 
I suggest an installation from the scratch:
- Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
- Boot.
- Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall and use it for complete uninstallation.
- Boot.
- Install again the latest avast! version.
- Boot.
- Check and post the results.
Which was your old antivirus? How did you uninstall it?
