Error on push installation

On Windows XP machine I removed beta2 version and then I push the new installation of RC2 version.

From console all it’s ok, but on the machine avast doesn’t start.

This is the error:

Impossibile trovare la descrizione dell’ID evento ( 90 ) nell’origine ( avast! ). Il computer locale potrebbe non disporre delle necessarie informazioni nel Registro di sistema o dei file DLL necessari per visualizzare messaggi da un computer remoto. Utilizzare /AUXSOURCE= flag per recuperare la descrizione. Per ulteriori informazioni, consultare la Guida in linea e supporto tecnico. Le seguenti informazioni sono parte dell’evento: Unable to start avast! Antivirus service, error 00000433 has occured .

If I try to start manually the avast service this is the error:

Errore 2: Impossibile trovare il file specificato.

It doesn’t find some files??

The installation seems to be badly damaged. Did you reboot after uninstalling beta2 and before installing rc2a?

Because it seems to be that during the uninstall of beta2, some of the files were locked and were therefore scheduled to be removed during the next system startup.

Then, Rc2 was installed to the same directory, with the same file names (but newer contents) but when the system rebooted, the files that were scheduled by the uninstaller to be removed were indeed removed… :-\

I repeat the operation and now works fine.
