Error running quickscan in partition HD

I recently installed Avast 4 Home edition. I have partitioned my hardisk to c: and d:. When i tried to run quickscan on d: an error message saying that the path cannot be found. But this quickscan could run in perfectly in c:. Why?

Hi,

what exactly do you mean by “quickscan”? What operating system are you using? Do other programs recognize the D: disk?

What i mean by Quickscan is, when i right click on a particular file on D: and select the scan option. I am running on windows xp. And yes other application recognizes D: disk.
