Error UPNP-DLNA

Hello.
I have Windows 7 64 Ultimate. Since I updated to version 2014 avast stopped working media server programs both windows, Serviio, and ps3 media server. No device located any server. When I uninstall avast 2014 the devices appear, any solution to recommend me?
I have the version avast internet security 2014.

I have W7 64bit as well.

Since updating to 2014 internet security, my UPNP severs have died as well. (Servio, PS3 Media Center) as well as SPlashtop desktop streamer and Logmein.

They all functioned 100% working, BEFORE the upgrade. Turning off the firewall or punching holes in it for those apps do nothing.

I havent found a work around yet. :frowning:

Stop using Avast or roll back to an older version. Sadly the firewall in Avast 2014 is a complete disaster, because they rushed the product out of the door. Look around in the forums, tons of people are being hit with the exact same issues and just wonder how many doesn’t understand what’s going on or simply has found another better AV solution.

When the issue is fixed, is hard to say, as the level of communication from Avast, has been appealing, as they have been more busy with trying to up-sell premium services in Avast 2014.

I had planned to migrate to NOD32 some months ago, but it wont install at this point in time. Next system format im changing sides.

Youll have to manually make a ruleset for it.

Basically once you opened Avast Internet Security

Tools > firewall > “Application Rules” near the bottom

You will have to click New Group, then name it whatever you want.

Then you go to the button next to it: “New Applicaiton Rule” and select the newly created group you made. You will then have to manually locate the applicaton. In the case of Serviio, you need to do this twice. Once for ServiioConsole.exe and ServiioService.exe

Lasty, you set both to the highest bar (All Connections).

Serviio works again. I had to do the same for my ohter apps.

The 2 step process is off putting but least its not as bad as i thought it was. The forced organization is a bit of an annoyance.
