ewido - File could not be removed from quarantine!

I have just run ewido V3.5 (downloaded yesterday) and it reported over 1,000 Adware.NewDotNet infections. I did manage to quarantine some but Window security would crash after I quarantined about 30 ? items and I would have to start scanning all over again (this happened several times).

ewido seemed to work better if I paused it while I quarantined items.

I then went to uninstall NewDotNet but several components were in quarantine so I went to the NewDotNet web site and managed to uninstall their program following their instructions.

Noticing most of the finds were in the Norton Recycle bin I emptied it (yes I know I have to get ride of Nortons, but one thing at a time please)

I am also getting a lot of cookies from the Firefox V1.5 area and I went to Internet options and deleted cookies using the Internet properties tool, but this did not appear to clean out the Firefox cookies ?

I also tried to get rid of the items in ewido quarantine using “Remove finally” but it did not matter which item(s) I selected I kept getting the message “File could not be removed from quarantine!”

Welcome to the forum Thunder Bird
My friend you are going to give yourself one mean migraine from running 2 AV programs but as you say “one thing at a time”
Firefox Remove cookies -open firefox/tools/options/privacy/cookies/clear cookies now!! T Bird a nice tool to use with FFox is Cookie Culler you decide what cookies you want to keep http://cookieculler.mozdev.org/
You could try going to the ewido quarantine folder and deleating the contents manually C:\Program Files\Ewido\Quarantine make sure you shut down ewido and that what you are deleting is not required or important.
