Exception Problem

Hello, everytime I make an exception, it doesn’t work.

It’s an exe file, and each time I open it after putting it back from quarantine with an exception, it keeps getting filtered by the antivirus. It’s pretty frustrating, as it’s a false positive as well.

I’ve tried:
Restarting computer
Updating Avast
Re-adding the exception manually
Adding the exception manually

Any way to fix?

Hello ‘umut’ welcome to the Avast Community Forum.

Not knowing why Avast is alerting and what the file is/does makes it is difficult to understand why Avast is alerting.

  1. A screenshot of the Avast Alert with the See details option enabled may help.
  2. You could use the option to send it to ‘Send for analysis’ same drop down list you used to try and send it back.
  3. Give it a few day for this analysis and try to send it back again.
