Exclude external USB drives for scheduled On Demand Scanning Tasks

Hi,

Anyone know of a way to exclude external USB drives from On Demand Scanning Tasks? Thanks.

Add it to the exclusion list of that scanning (e.g., D:*).

They are not all mounted at the same drive letter for each machine.

Sorry, avast does not detect the ID of the media, only the mapped drive letter.
By the way, why do you need to exclude it from scanning?
Why don’t you use the “Local disks” scanning?

They are large capacity drives with a substantial amount of data and they take forever to scan, scans kick off Monday morning and they are still running on some machines.

Hope the programmers could help.
Although I see little usage of on demand scanning all drive with avast installed and running…

Management wants the weekly scans, end of story.

Can you direct the scanning to C:\ only, for instance, avoiding the external drives?

No, some of our machines have several fixed disk mounted and partitioned in various configurations. I was hoping to find a way to just exclude removeable drives.
