Excluded external hdd

Hi, do anyone know how to make Avast Free AV stop scanning external hdd’s? Excluding them doesn’t help. Kind of annoying when they start spinning just because Avast wants to scan them every 5 minutes, there are only media files (MKV,MP4,MP3) on them. I’ve checked with MS process monitor and it is Avast Behavior Shield causing them to start over and over again. This happens all the time, day and night and it doesn’t matter if I’m using the computer or not.

Does that change anything?

Do you have latest version? https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=226462.0

Tried repair and it didn’t work. Yes latest version.

Next step would be a Clean Install of Avast:

If you need additional help with the Clean Install, watch this:

What operating system ???

Thanks, I’ll try that tomorrow.

Actually I think it works now so maybe I don’t need to try that. I found a link to the old settings under troubleshooting in preferences and there I could add excluded files and folders for different components in Avast such as Behavior… Avast still starts the disks if I open Avast but it seems to have stopped doing it on it’s own now.

Thanks both of you anyway!
