Can someone please help with exclusion settings I need to stop the conflict between Avast and Malwarbytes 2.0. I have tried to add some exclusions into Avast settings, Active Protection, File System Shield and then added exclusions. I received these instructions from a discussion in this forum dated 4th May. I included all of these for Windows 7 64 bit, then I have read elsewhere to delete mbam.exe and mbamservice.exe if I use a firewall other than the built in Windows one - which I do - Avast Firewall. It said once that’s done to add to web filter as a trusted site: data.cdn.mbamupdates.com. I am at a loss with all of this as I really need to know where to exactly place these exclusions for Avast and Malwarebytes 2.0 to run without conflict. Has anyone been able to find the correct settings and where they are exactly to be placed?
Thank you from someone who doesn’t know too much about computers!
does this help?
Thank you so much for replying. I tried to do what was suggested, but I have Avast Premier and although they are similar, I am not 100% sure I followed it all correctly. I checked SafeZone again after following suggestions, but I’m aftraid it still doesn’t work
I found fix for this problem for conflict between Avast Premier and Malwarebytes 2.0
Open Avast Premier, go to Settings, General, and scroll down to Exclusions, browse to where Malwarebytes program is (program files (x86) and put a tick in blank box next to Malwarebytes and add this to Exclusions. Then still in Settings, General, go to Tools, then to SafeZone, then Exclusions and add Malwarebytes the same way as above.
This worked for me
