Exclusions [Resolved]

Hi, I use a program called PSTViewer Pro and when I click on the Update link to see if there is an update it fails do do so as a message “Connection with the Server was terminated abnormally” pops up. I notice that during this operation the Avast icon rotates indicating it is checking. Is there a way to exclude Avast from doing so as Googling states that antivirus programs can be a cause. Thanks.

If you are absolutely positive it’s a clean file/software add it to your exclusions.
GUI>Settings>Antivirus>scroll down to “exclusions”

Hello Para-Noid, I have just done that but it did not resolve the issue. I actually excluded the program in the program folder. Before I made my request I tried to do something similar by excluding the program in the File Shield section but that also failed. Thank you, anyway.

I have just discovered that I now cannot access the www.encryptomatic.com/pstviewer/ website as it cannot be displayed. I ran IE9 (Google) without any add-ons with the same result. Again I noticed the Avast icon rotating and am wondering if Avast is doing something.
I can access the website as normal on my wife`s Windows 7 Home Premium/IE11/Google even though she too has the latest free Avast on her system.

Have just now resolved the issues with PSTViewer Pro. Went to Internet Options/Advanced and saw the TLS 1.0 box was unticked. I cannot remember unticking it so I must be cracking up…

As long as you figured it out…it’s fixed.
