I have recently installed avast free and I have an older database program that has a patch. When I attempt to open this program Avast isolates the exe file and the program wont run. Is there any way to allow this executive file to run with avast turned on?
How do you know Avast is blocking it? Are you getting a warning that it’s infected?
What do you mean when you say it has a patch?
I’m going to venture a guess. The exe file is being "autosandbox(ed).
If that is the case change the autosandbox setting to “ask”.
If it is either the file or behavior shield that is doing the blocking just make the proper exclusions.
Do any of the above only if you know the exe/software is absolutely safe.
