Extensions

I thought I posted this yesterday, but it doesn’t appear in the forum. I use LastPass for all my passwords. It works with your browser ONLY if you have an add-on for it. I see no way to add extensions to the Avast browser. What am I missing?

Hi,

Unfortunately I do not have any advice about using LastPass in the browser. It is by design. SafeZone does not allow anybody/anything to add any extensions - for security reasons.

The only way is to either copy paste passwords - this is not 100% secure. Or better start using Avast Passwords which is free solution from Avast and works on PC and also mobile.

I guess there should be some way how to move your passwords to Avast Passwords… In case you are interested I can give you some link with more info.

Thanks

I read a post on this webboard from someone who seem to have managed to transfer the passwords, if I remember correctly.
It was something like :

  • LasstPass > export the passwords
  • Install EasyPass
  • Import the passwords into EasyPass
  • Install avast passwords and the password from EasyPass are imported.

Thanks Eddy, you are right

…one more thing to add. The last step is not automatic. You have to go to Avast Settings->Passwords, ther is button “Import from EasyPass”

Thanks to all for the responses. There is NO way I will use a browser that disallows extensions, and I do NOT want to have to maintain another file for the 200+ passwords I have in LastPass just to be able to use Avast Browser. I will delete the shortcut to the browser and just will never use it.

It is ofcourse your choice to choose what browser(s) you want to use.
Just keep in mind that the SafeZone Browser is developed with a high rate of security in mind while others are not.

You might want to use the SafeZone browser while doing financial transactions and use another browser for “daily” surfing.
