Extra iexplore *32 process High Memory Multiple Processors Slows Computer

Hi,

I have a iexplore *32 process that opens every time I open internet explorer. I can manually close it but it immediately reopens. If I close explorer it stays open until I manually close it then it won’t reopen by itself. The memory usage gets high enough to slow the computer down and prevent videos from playing. I have tried the following:

Microsoft Security Essentials
Spybot Search and Destroy
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Combofix
TDssKiller
Farbar Scanner
RogueKiller
RootkitRemover
aswMBR

Nothing works or finds anything. I’m at a loss and appreciate any help please.

Thanks

Oh and forgot MCShield

Farbar Scanner
this would be the important logs .... frst.txt and additional.txt

Hi I will need the FRST logs but could you run a fresh scan after this

  1. Close any open browsers.

  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

File:: c:\windows\system32\drivers\tkwtubyo.sys

Driver::
tkwtubyo

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

Thank you for the fast response. The new logs are attached.

Could you let me know how the computer is after this

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

On completion a log will be generated please post that

Hi.

Unfortunately it still has that extra process.

Log and pic are attached.

Thanks

As you have a 64bit system you will always have 2 IE processes, one holds recovery data if it crashes

How is it behaving otherwise

It’s better

The extra process can still get pretty big (160k) but it’s not continually getting larger and the CPUs stays at 0 after an initial loading.

Addendum: It turns out the extra process still isn’t closing though. Is that supposed to happen too?

Can you please tell me what was wrong?

I really appreciate your help thank you!!!

Oh and another follow-up question. Why do the second processes use so much more data?

I may have spoken too soon as well, I’m not sure. I just had a window open that had a secondary process using 500k in memory and the computer froze while trying to load it.

This one is using 135k right now. Seems like a lot of data for a forum.

Do you think this is just how explorer works now or do you think I might have a virus/Trojan?

Thanks

My IE is using 128Mb at the moment with just 2 tabs open

Lets have a fresh FRST scan but I think it may just be a windows glitch, no harm in checking though

Ok. Here you go.

Thanks

Could you go to this location and delete the folder :

C:\Users\Anon\AppData\Roaming\麽鎒駓覜

Hi,

That was a weird file. No idea where it came from but it’s deleted now. Here are the new logs.

There’s still a 128k second process but no lag or anything. I’m also a lot more comfortable now that it doesn’t look like there’s a virus.

Is there anything else I should try or do you think I’m good to go?

Thank you very much.

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

It seems better. It’s been freezing and crashing less often.

Thank you very much!
