False Positive Blackberry device manager

hi all
my original login doesnt work anymore so ive had to use this new login.

yesterday morning i started getting a Rootkit warning Win32:evo-gen popup for Blackberry device manager.

i tried all the usual cleanups with avast internet security, malwarebytes etc but it kept coming back.

posted on the blackberry forum and was advised to try some other cleaners including trend micro anti threat toolkit which found nothing and avast aswMBR which also found it and attempted to clean it. it said it was successful but another scan showed it still there.

in the end i just went to the source and deleted the blackberry device manager folder.

all scans were then clean.

today about 5 other people using avast have had the same warning and found my post on google so joined the forum to post they were getting the same.

this has to mean its a false positive doesnt it?
thanks

Win32:evo-gen [Susp] = suspicious

Upload BbDevMgr.exe to www.virustotal.com and test it, if scanned before click rescan
Post link to scan result here

Others have also reported this https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=157080.msg1135966#msg1135966

False positives can be reported to avast lab here http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php

i did search first but didnt find any posts, sorry must have missed this one.

i cant upload it to that site as i mentioned i deleted the source folder in the end and now every scanner that did pick it up has come back clean.

found my original login ;D

report sent to avast.

computer still clean 2 days later.

i wont link to my computer anymore as its much easier just removing the mini sd card for transfers so i didnt really need the BB folder anyway.
